Those people who have sleep disorders usually complain of trouble in falling asleep and getting good sleep.
There isn’t much said about those who are the opposite. There are some people who have the opposite problem. They get too much sleep.
Some people sleep for more than 14 hours at one time.
If you want to reduce the amount of sleep, the quality of sleep must be improved. After replacing a few bad habits, you may now sleep less and feel much more lively and energetic throughout the day.
However, improving the quality of sleep is only one part of the process.
If you’re sleeping too much and having trouble getting yourself out of bed, it’s not only because of some bad sleeping habits.
You should know that when you wake up, you’re not in complete control of your thoughts and actions. Your subconscious is actually more dominant at this time.
You may have some emotional issues which are suppressed in your subconscious.
Of course, oversleeping can cause problems. When you oversleep, you would feel embarrassed that you didn’t wake up on time, be late to work, lose some of your free time, and feel tired, which are all not good for you.
You should correct this by going to sleep and waking up at the same time everyday, no excuses.
You should practice this for at least 3 weeks.
But if you don’t wake up on time, then you should focus on self-discipline first.
Most people will wake up on time every morning, no matter the quality or quantity of sleep.
Don’t feel bad if you fail. Instead, you have to find out what went wrong. Try to recall your thoughts and actions that morning. Then you have to make a plan for the next day.
If you can’t recall anything, then try going to sleep earlier or setting the alarm to a later time.
You must ask yourself why you oversleep. What are you trying to avoid?
